With a corporate career spanning over 25 years, Chris has a wealth of general management, financial, IT, project management and training experience. He is passionate about learning and development and has combined this with his keen interest in all things IT to specialise in IT systems training and e-learning creation and is currently working towards his MA in Digital Education.
Following his corporate career, he worked in the voluntary and Further Education sectors before founding Jargone in early 2012 and launching the new Skills Network service in 2014 to deliver dynamic, bite-sized training and networking events underpinned by our our online platform powered by Ambix. He is committed to ensuring that Jargone delivers personalised solutions and excellent quality to every client, every time.
Kate combines 25 years of business experience with a love for all things digital.
Author of Poles Apart: Challenges for Business in the Digital Age, she works with SMEs to help them embrace the rewards and avoid the risks of building business online.
As director of software development company Ambix, the creators of Skills Network’s online platform, she knows first-hand the challenges of entrepreneurship, and as part of her role also helps large organisations develop online communities.
Richard is a partner at Durham Lane, a 360° sales performance business offering consultancy, training and high impact sales coaching as well as outsourced sales solutions and sales recruitment services.
Before becoming a recognised sales trainer and coach, Richard spent his career in sales, management and sales leadership positions for learning and software / technology companies. Having won numerous global blue-chip customers, Richard successfully managed global client teams to service and grow these accounts. His passion is in crafting solutions designed to solve complex business challenges, always with the goal of creating win-win and long-term value. Business fit, business value and long-term relationships are at the heart of everything Richard does. He is driven by a desire to raise the bar of the sales profession.
Rebecca is a Freelance Trainer/Assessor delivering courses covering a range of education, management, customer service and business administration specialisms.
She is an experienced Business Adviser and has worked with SMEs and larger organisations in both the public and private sectors in a variety of roles and is currently a Governor at a local FE college in addition to running her own business.
Rebecca is also the local host of monthly Colleagues on Tap Co-Working days in Middlesbrough where working for yourself does not need to mean working by yourself.
Tim is the Managing Director of Bid and Research Development who have secured over £1 billion worth of contracts for their customers whether multimillion pound contracts for blue chip companies or smaller, but nevertheless, life-changing contracts for ambitious micro businesses.
Tim has a background in, and passion for, supporting the growth plans of organisations across a broad range of sectors by securing significant contracts. He utilises a proven research and knowledge based approach and thinks outside the box to help set his clients apart from their competitors.
Victoria is the owner of Buzztastic, helping businesses improve their sales by reviewing their strategy, processes and people.
She is an energetic and enthusiastic training and development consultant, coach and mentor with over 15 years corporate experience in delivering success through people. She specialises in delivering dynamic, innovative and thought provoking training that allows organisations to deliver on the sales and service goals they have established and ensure the customer gets the experience the business aims to deliver.
The language of business is numbers and, like it or not, they are how all busniesses are measured. Bridget is a finance specialist and owner of BH Financial Tuition helping business owners and managers to understand their numbers and the importance of cash-flow – running out of cash, not losses, is the reason most businesses fail.
Prior to starting her own business, she spent most of her career in the hotel and catering industry working both front of house in a number of operational roles and also behind the scenes in the finance department of an international, blue chip hotel company.

Rachel is a co-founder of Thrive and an accomplished marketing professional with over 20 years’ experience of ‘front line’ operations and delivery and as a ‘back room’ strategist.
As marketing has evolved into the digital age, so has her portfolio of skills. She has always embraced advancements in the industry and used her MBA dissertation to research social media, its strategic intent and adoption. Rachel is passionate about all aspects of online marketing and leverages creative, strategic communications to take clients on a journey of re-strategising and re-aligning their marketing approach.
Steve is an education and leadership consultant and trainer, who currently devotes much of his time to working with unemployed adults and young people. As a behaviour specialist he successfully changes attitudes, behaviours and futures using self-awareness to develop Social Fitness.
Drawing on 30 years of specialist teaching and local authority management experience, Steve brings something slightly different to Skills Network and would like everyone to have the kind of light bulb moment he had when he discovered the profiling system he now uses for leadership, workforce and personal development.
Julie is a communications specialist and voiceover artist with over 20 years of broadcasting experience as a radio presenter and producer. She has worked in both community radio and the BBC right across the North East, as well as working on BBC Radio 4 and 5Live productions.
Julie now specialises in helping businesses to get their message across with improved communications on various platforms including podcasting, blogging, Soundslides, media training and social media.
Helen is a social media specialist with almost 10 years experience in the digital marketing industry. Through her up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of the algorithms behind social outlets, she has the ability to create, execute and amend social media and SEO strategies tailored to the needs of individual businesses in order to build brand awareness and encourage engagement.
In addition to delivering appropriate social media strategies for her clients, Helen utilises her wealth of knowledge to play an active role in delivering Social Media workshops for Boho Media and aiding various business growth workshops.
Sasha has over 20 years HR experience in generalist HR and Change Management. Before founding OutsourcedHR, she worked for a number of blue-chip businesses and now transfers her extensive knowledge of best practice into practical solutions which can be adopted by organisations of all sizes.
She adopts a focussed approach which enables her to quickly understand her client’s business goals and their drivers and develops HR solutions to facilitate their achievement by implementing robust structures which in turn create engaged employees.
From an early career in the theatre, Dan progressed into the international event production industry and has accumulated over 20 years’ experience as an event producer, writer and presentation coach working with an impressive client list that includes many blue-chip, household name businesses and celebrities.
His coaching experience and down to earth approach will ensure your presentation content, materials and delivery are sharpened to an edge that will enable you to exploit every communication opportunity and ensure you are Competent, Confident and Compelling in every presentation.
By the time he was 26 Dominic had flown a Thunderbird, lost $1million and been fired by Simon Cowell. During his career as an actor he learned a thing or two about the highs and lows of performance but discovered his true talent when asked to give acting masterclasses at RADA, coaching and motivating the stars of tomorrow.
This experience inspired Dominic to set up his own company, In Flow Training, so that he could share his practical and transformational methodology with a wider audience. He now works with businesses around the world to help individuals, teams and leaders take centre stage and deliver outstanding performances.
